Letter of Introduction

To Whom It May Concern

My journey to becoming a teacher was fueled by my passion for learning, personal growth, and a desire to make a positive impact in my community. In my teaching career, I have consistently found opportunities to foster critical thinking and character development in students, both in the classroom and through extracurricular activities.

During my time in Hawaii, I had the privilege of working with some exceptional public and private schools. A common thread among these institutions was the supportive administration that allowed me to serve in diverse teaching assignments, including math, science, English language arts, foreign languages, social studies, technical education, robotics, drama, and art. Embracing new learning experiences is essential to my teaching philosophy, and I always encourage my students to do the same.

I choose to teach because I want to inspire students to become independent thinkers, lifelong learners, and valued members of their community. My ultimate goal is to ensure that when students leave my class, they are self-assured, able to reflect on their knowledge, and appreciative of diversity. I believe that teaching should be multifaceted, incorporating a curriculum that spans multiple disciplines and that students learn best through exploration, discovery, and inquiry.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I am eager to join and contribute to your school community.

Sincerely,

Zachary Hansel
